Recognizing Organic Fragments
This is a drill and practice exercise in recognizing the basic propyl, butyl and pentyl groupings. When you press "New Strucure" a new window with a structure and 8 possible fragment names will appear. Click on the circle in front of the proper fragment. The results will appear in the table on the main page. If you get an incorrect answer, you should retry the same compound.
