Conceptual Physics Homepage

Conceptual Physics is an introductory study of the central concepts of physics with an emphasis on understanding concepts. This course emphasizes fundamental concepts by explaining physics in down-to-earth language and uses mathematical formulas as a guide to thinking and problem solving. The course will be offered for the first time at El Diamante during the 2010 - 2011 school year.

Resources for Physics

Because I will not be the instructor for this course, I will not be investing much time in the development of course materials. I will leave what I have completed in place. I have posted web versions of a few PowerPoint presentations, which can be viewed as Flash movies within your browser or downloaded for offline viewing in the new .ppsx format. I've also have a few Interactive Practice Activities. I have also organized the CA state standards for Physics into a "CA Physics e-Text" format that will allow me to add graphics, problems, and additional text.

Unless you are a student of mine, or a parent of one of my students, please do not contact me for assistance - I do not have time to correspond, and all of the resources that I am willing to share are already available here. Students and parents may most easily contact me at my home email address.
