Mole Conversions: Liters → Moles
This video demonstrates a solution to a mole conversion problem. The problem comes from a practice benchmark used in class, which addresses the CA standard: Students know how to determine the molar mass of a molecule from its chemical formula and a table of atomic masses and how to convert the mass of a molecular substance to moles, number of particles, or volume of gas at standard temperature and pressure.
NOTE: I assume that you have the use of a periodic table. In working quantitative problems, I will usually round masses to the nearest gram. These examples demonstrate a considerable focus on the rules for simplifying fractions in order to work problems without a calculator.
